All of my images were shot in a 35mm format, some on film and some digitally.
I make all the archival digital prints myself on an Epson 4800 printer with 100-year
archival chromagenic inks on 100% acid free rag paper.

The ‘Crossroads’ is a place between the worlds of time and space where perceptions shift, journeys
begin and end. In exploring our relationship with the elemental forces, earth and water, air and fire, body
and spirit, my subjects and I journey together, connecting with the primal spirit of the land, and create images
that reveal the essential being of each model. Together we examine the spaces in-between, how and where
we choose to present ourselves expose facets of our hidden core. We create a space where the beauty and
power of the Immanent Divine may express itself freely. By contacting the transformative power of the Living
Earth, we catalyze that energy within ourselves. For it is in that space, if the conditions are right, that we can
drop our masks and remember who we really are, if only for a moment.
Berta A. Daniels is a native of the Boston area, where she attended the Art Institute of Boston, with
majors in Photography and Sculpture. Her fine art photography has been described as theatrical, painterly,
spiritually transformational and richly provocative. As she explores the figure in the landscape, she invites
the viewer to become a co-walker with her and her subject on a journey through light and shadow. Her
portraits of people in nature are empowering as well as beautiful. In exploration of the inner and outer worlds
she encourages her subjects to open themselves to personal transformation through acute connection with
the land. Berta's more commercial work focuses on creating images for the music industry, travel, food and
fashion. For more than fifteen years she has been working as a freelance lifestyle photographer for
magazines, books and other publications as well as corporate and private clients.
