Jack Richeson archival panels are made with the highest quality materials. The base is a pH neutral, tempered, high-density fiberboard (HDF). Each board is double coated using a waterfall system, yielding a controlled, even application of gesso. This additional step of gessoing the underlying panel produces an archival barrier between panel and canvas. Triple primed canvas is then adhered to each panel using permanent, acid-free glue.

They come in three textures:

• Extra Fine: Smooth and perfect for portrait painting
• Fine: Slight Texture 
• Medium: Texture
