About the Class
This is an 8-week class, meeting on Mondays from 6:00pm- 9:00pm.
January 6th - February 24th
The total cost of this class is $400, Supplies are not included. Please see the supply list below.
What will the class be like?
I am an acrylic painter and mixed media relief artist. On our first night of class, I will show you numerous possibilities of what you might create and each student will develop their own, individual plan with the input from me and your classmates. You will learn about acrylic paints, acrylic mediums, glues, fabrics, color pencils, watercolor etc. while combining them with materials that are thrown away each day and buried in our earth. I have been working this way for over 30 years and my goal is to help you create what is interesting to you!
Materials: The list is endless. Basically, all you can think of from real objects, to papers, plastics and everything we throw out. You will need good quality acrylics, brushes, a support (canvas, Masonite board, wood etc.) I recommend that our first class you bring visual references, (if you have an idea )and supplies and materials that you already have. I can look things over and we will figure out what you might need to acquire.
Looking forward to working with you!
